Fred Osbourne Snooker Complaint

8 Aug 2018 by Alex Render

Fred Osbourne Snooker complaint.

During the 2018 Fred Osbourne Snooker a situation occurred when two players withdrew from the event leaving their next opponent with no match. The TD decided that this was unfair to the remaining player since he was to play the winner of that match. As a result of the two withdrawals the player in waiting would not play until the quarter final on Sunday morning resulting in no table time.

The ABSC realise that this decision was made to allow a player match practice prior to the finals, however this created a controversy.

The ABSC will take the necessary measures to make sure that this does not happen again.
All national ranking tournament TD’s will be notified accordingly.
