17 Mar 2018 by Alex Render

Semi Finals have started for the Oceania Snooker Championships being held at Mounties in Sydney. Matches are best of 9 frames with Tyson Crinis playing Denis Paul (Digby) in the first semi. In the other semi Joe Minici will be looking for a double after winning the Billiards and taking on Adrian Ridley from Victoria. The final scheduled for 3pm this afternoon so if you are in the area come on down and watch some great snooker. The high break so far was by Alan McCarthy with a nice 115.

During the week we saw an all NZ Under 21 final in the Oceania as Mario Hidred defeated Adam Lilley 6-5. Well done to Alex Pace and Mark Friedman for making the semi finals.

Meanwhile in the WSF Championships in Malta the Aussies were not as successful but nether less representing Australia well. Steve Mifsud went down in a close match 4-3 to Michael Judge whilst Judy Dangerfield lost to Laura Evans 4-1.
