The Oceania Snooker and Billiards Championships are well underway at the Commercial Club Albury in NSW. Some highlights so far:

Daniel Lucas makes a comeback after a long absence from the game and made high breaks of 325 & 301. He reached the final against Matthew Bolton.

Mathew Bolton made 9 breaks over 195 with his best being 383 (Tournament best) and 304. Bolton defeated Lucas in the final 1110 – 673 to take out another title for 2017. A great year so far for Mathew and its only March.

In the Juniors Cale Barrett (Tas) defeated Mario Hildred (NZ) 6-3 in the final of the U/21’s Championship. The tournament high break of 121 was made by Louis Chand (NZ). Mario Hildred had a great fight back from 3-2 down to defeat Hayden Goode (Aus) 4-3 in the quarter final. He required three snookers to win on the brown in the final frame.

In the Women’s Snooker Championship Caroline Ruscitti (VIC) plays Margaret Gorski (VIC) in final. The VIC’s overcame the NSW Ladies in the semis after Theresa Whitten bowed out to Margaret 4-2 whist Kathy Parashis had a close match just losing out to Caroline 4-3.
