29 Jan 2017 by Alex Render

In another ‘down to the wire’ match, Matthew Bolton has successfully won the 2017 Dr Clem Jones AO Queensland Open Snooker played at Bribie Island this weekend making it 4 in a row. Matthew has been a dominant force on the national snooker circuit for a number of years now and has proven this again today. Final score, Matthew Bolton 5 def Aaron Mahoney 4 with the final frame coming down to the colours and some excellent safety from two of Australia’s top players. In fact close to 20 minutes was spent just on colours before the yellow and green were potted by Matthew. Well done to Aaron who has played consistently all weekend and had the highest break of 141. Well done to the QBSA and Tournament Director Graham Baker for a well organised event. Full tournament report and results will be a available on ABSC.com.au
